Queenie is a very sweet 5 year old pitbull who came to us from Peninsula Humane Society. Queenie passed all her temperament testing at PHS and was there, waiting for a home for almost a year. She wasn't adopted because she had an old injury, an anterior cruciate ligament tear and it was causing her pain and on occasion, difficulty walking. We've had Qeenie evaluated by two vet and they believe that surgery is not indicated for her. She will need to take anti-inflammatories as needed and if you're looking for a dog to go running with, she's not your gal! She will need and loves regular moderate walks.
Queenie was sprung from PHS just before euthanasia by a PHS volunteer who hoped to find her a permanent home. Unfortunately that didn't occur before he went off to college, so she came to us. Queenie is your typical goofy pit bull. She loves her foster humans and is fantastic with kids. Although she is currently in a home with cats, we don't think that is ideal for her - she tends to want to chase them when they run! Queenie gets along with other dogs with proper introduction, but she'd also be perfectly happy as an only dog. We're hoping to get her into the famous BAD RAP training program soon to work on perfecting her doggy manners.
Queenie has been through a lot and has waited a long time for a family. If you'd like to meet her, please go to our website (norcalfamilydogrescue.org) and fill out an application.
