Husky mix puppies

WE ARE NOT ABLE TO BE SEEN OR ADOPTED UNTIL WEDNESDAY JULY 25TH PENDING OUR VET CHECK. WE ARE BEING SPAY AND NEURTERD AND VET CHECKED.

Please check our website for updates as we update our pets & profiles multiple times daily. If the pet is NO LONGER on our site he/she has been adopted.

You can also click here and scroll down to FURRY NEWS AND TAILS - to see if our shelter is running any ADOPTION SPECIALS OR DISCOUNTS. Our shelter periodically runs adoption specials to promote adoptions during certain times of the year or as a way to promote national shelter adoption events!

Please note: We DO NOT hold, take deposits or reserve ANY animals for ANY reason. We do NOT allow gift adoptions or surprise adoptions –we highly advise ALL children BE present when adopting a pet from our shelter especially children under 10 years old and/or children that have never lived with or been exposed at any length to pets. This is for the safety of our pets and your children.

If you have another dog we recommend bringing him/her if you are considering adopting another dog/puppy to make sure they get along- please note that if you are bringing YOUR family dog/s they should be up to date on all vaccinations prior to visiting our shelter as they will be exposed to a variety of pets that have come to us with known/unknown vaccination status/medical histories. There is always the possibility of them being exposed to infectious environments.

Click here to make sure you have everything necessary prior to adoption or visiting.

Payment accepted: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, ATM/debit cards. We DO NOT take checks or American Express.

Puppy adoption fee $425 if paid by cash or $437.75 if paid by Credit card and include:
(Adult dogs adoption fees are posted on their pictures/profiles IF different from price above)

30 days of FREE pet health insurance - you MUST provide a valid email address to receive and be eligible for the pet insurance. FREE post adoption check with a VCA Animal Hospital valued at ($40-$65) Pet is already spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption Pets receive a physical exam by our staff veterinarian Pet has a fecal test and is de-wormed Pet is given flea/tick/Heartworm preventative preventatively Pet receives all vaccinations for their age Leash and collar Engraved and personalized ID tag All dogs/puppies are micro-chipped and registered in case they are lost FREE bag of Hill's Science Diet food which is what they are eating at the shelter

Please understand - We don't always know what the breed of the pet is (it’s an educated guess based on what they LOOK like) – Because the majority of our pets are rescued we cannot and will not guarantee the size / specific date birth/ breed or temperament which is WHY we recommend the entire family (and any family dog visit together to make sure that any potential adoptee meets your family criteria).

Please use our automated phone system to answer your questions 978-422-8585 as staff is extremely limited and we don't always have time to answer the phones OR Email us at: staff@sterlingshelter.org

Training your new Puppy/Dog? We HIGHLY RECOMMEND crate training…by crate training you keep your dog/puppy safe, increase speed of housebreaking and avoid all your valuables from being chewed and/or destroyed. Click here to learn more about WHY you should crate train

Each wire crate comes complete with a dual latching door to safely secure pets. Folds for effortless storage or travel. Includes a slide-out floor tray and a removable divider panel. Assembly instructions included.

Our shelter has inexpensive puppy/dog starter kits and 100% of the purchase supports the shelter pets! All crates come with the important divider panel (many crates you can find at pet supply stores DO NOT include these panels). The panel allows you to purchase ONE crate for the entire life of the pet and you don’t need to keep buying bigger crates as the pet grows. This saves A LOT of money!!!!

While our adoption fees may seem high, we ask ourselves why people would put a higher value on an IPAD, than a companion animal that will provide over a decade of love, joy, and happiness. Our adoption fees are the costs associated with rescuing, caring for, and transporting these animals that would otherwise be euthanized or left for a life of misery. When you figure the average lifespan of a companion animal at 12 years, is $35 a year ($424/12 years really too much money?
