Description
Hi! My name is Lilly. I’m a soft orange-colored tabby cat. I am looking for my forever home. I was dumped on Rt. 1 in Alexandria after my caretaker found out I was pregnant. I joined a feral cat colony for survival, but I am not a feral cat. I was soon found by animal control and taken to Fairfax County Animal Shelter. But, they didn’t have room for any more cats. So, after I was spayed, Fancy Cats found me a foster home, where I’ve been living. I am often overlooked at adoption fairs because I am quiet and because I am surrounded by kittens! Those kittens have nothing on me, though! Unlike most kittens, I have excellent litter habits and love using my SuperScratcher – I do not scratch inappropriately!
Because I was abandoned, I am a little tentative, but warm up once I know it’s safe. I love playing with my catnip-filled banana and feather toy! I love to purr and give my foster mom kisses – when I’m really happy I’ll roll over and let you scratch my tummy! I’m just looking for a safe place to call home!
I would get along well in a home with non-aggressive cats who will give me time to adjust. I also love kids – particularly those who know how to gently pet me and give me time to adjust – I love it when kids pet me at the adoption fair! I probably would not get along well with dogs.
I am two-year old cat who is settled, but still love to play and can’t wait to curl up in my forever home and love my new caretaker(s). I am a very well-behaved cat who will make a very good pet for anyone willing to love me!
Please stop by and give me a look at the next adoption fair. My foster mom would also be happy to let you visit me in my foster home, where I show better because I feel safe.
