      Description

JJ was a stray turned in to animal control.  We dont know his background or anything about him.   He has some abrasions on his paws and on his nose which appeared to have been caused by someone dragging him on a leash.  He also acts a bit fearful if you pull on his leash while walking him.  He seems to be doing well and overcoming this fear as we take him out for walks on the leash to potty daily.

JJ has really come out of his shell and decided he loves to be petted, held and loved.

We prefer no home with small children but children over 12 would probably be ok.

JJ doesn't appear to mind other dogs.  He is about 10 pounds.    JJ is crate trained.  He will hold it until he gets out and will not potty in his crate.  He may possibly be house trained but we do not guarantee any of our dogs are house trained.  Transition can always cause set backs.

JJ will be neutered prior to going to his new home.  He has already seen the vet and has no known health issues.  He is also heart worm negative and on prevention.

All animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.  All have a current heart worm test done within a year if age appropriate.  All vaccinations are up to date...rabies and DHLPP.  All animals receive monthly heart worm and flea tick prevention while in our care.

You must complete the online application on our home page www.petfinder.com/shelters/KY151.html or www.petfinder.com/shelters/WV145.html   to be considered for adoption.  You will also be required to have a home safety visit prior to adoption.

All pets currently in the home must be up to date on vaccinations, heart worm prevention and spayed or neutered to adopt from us.

Our pets are located in either KY or WV.  Private paid transport is available on a monthly basis to Hagerstown, MD or Martinsburg, WV area for animals in KY who need to get to the east coast or vice versa.

We do not have  public shelter to come view the pets available for adoption.  You must complete the application online and have an approved application to meet any of our pets.  You would be responsible to drive to the Elizabethtown, KY or Martinsburg, WV area to meet the pet interested in depending on its location.  We will not transport any pet from one state to another to meet a potential adopter.
