Stunning calico loves other cats
Frannie was trapped along with her mother and siblings by a group doing Trap-Neuter-Return. They realized that the kittens were shy around people, but not feral, and she was taken taken to a nearby shelter. People worked with her at the shelter, but she needed to be in a home environment before being adopted, so she came into our rescue. She is now used to the sounds of appliances, telephones, door bells, and normal activities in a home.
She needs an experienced cat owner, who will be patient in earning her trust. She gets get along very well with the cats in her foster home (even won over the Tortie). She is such sweet girl, and loves her scratch boards, and is now first in line for the nightly treat of a little wet food. Frannie is still shy, but has improved so much, and loves to be petted. She will come up to me, but does not like to be held. She may never be a lap cat, but she would be a good companion for another cat. She has not been around children, so we don't know how she would do - she might just hide for a while.
Please note that we do NOT adopt outside Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, or Louisiana. Please check Petfinder for cats closer to your location. We require all potential adopters to be approved prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We are not a shelter and all cats are fostered in private homes
