      Description

With a larger-than-life personality and athletic ability to match, Athena loves to be the star of the show!

For her opening act, she'll treat you to her happy dance. It's so cute to see how Athena gets so excited to meet new people, she's just convinced the world is made up of all her adoring fans. And really, it probably is! Act two usually has something to do with chasing her toys, fetching a ball, leaping through the air and twirling about. And that's just a sampling of how agile she is!

A young dog, Athena has a lot of potential to excel in doggie sports like agility. She's got energy and smarts to spare and is highly trainable. At the curtain call, Athena is happy to lie down and watch TV with her person. And in true pittie style, she likes to be close. Super close. Lay on top of you in the bed while you are trying to sleep close!

Athena is no diva though. In fact, she'd probably jump at the chance to share her limelight with another dog. She bonds quickly, easily and deeply with the people in her life. So much so that she has shown some anxiety when left alone and therefore needs a crate and some toys to keep her content. We are hoping though, that if she finds a home with another dog some of that anxiety might be relieved for Athena! Also, Athena can get a little rough in her play and tends to be overly mouthy in her enthusiasm. She's so easy to train though, already knowing several commands and her leash manners, that we're sure Athena will blossom into a well mannered and content pup in a loving home!

She's hoping that her grand finale will include all of her favorites, her ball, stuffed toys, a buddy and you!
