Sweet Senior Golden Retriever Mix
Emily is a sweet 10 year old Golden Retriever mix. Her owner had a stroke and a rescue in New York offered to take her and asked us if we could watch her for three days and then never took her. We have had her since the week before Christmas and she is a super sweet girl that has lots of love to share. She is housebroke and has never had an accident in our house. She has great house manners and loves following my wife around the house everywhere she goes. She is spayed and up to date on everything. She is heartworm negative. She is looking for a quiet home to share where she will provide the love and give you her remaining years of loyal friendship. She gets along great with my dogs and her only issue is that she growls sometimes when one of my dogs comes by her but has absolutely no aggression. She grew up with a blind dog and I believe the talking she does is a result of living her life with the blind dog who could not see her. She loves laying on the couch beside you and loves being petted. She is a picky eater and it took us a couple of months to find what she would eat. I had thought a dog would eventually eat but she held out and lost a lot of weight. Now we give her half Blue Buffalo Senior and a beneful tub of chicken or lamb. It looks like stew or thick soup to me and actually looks good, not that I would eat it myself. Now that we know what she like she is a good eater and she has lots of love to give. We would like for he to be adopted within a three hour drive of McMinnville, Tn as we do not want to put her on a long transport at her age. We would love for Annabelle and Emily to be adopted together if possible as they have been together their whole lives and are very close to each other.
